Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of uniscorecard.com and any related services (collectively, the "Site"), operated by UniScorecard ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Informational purpose only
The Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes. Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, legal, tax, academic, or admissions advice. You should independently verify any information and consult qualified professionals (school admissions officers, financial aid offices, accredited counselors) before making enrollment or financial decisions.
2. Data source and accuracy
The institutional data shown on the Site is derived from the publicly available College Scorecard dataset published by the U.S. Department of Education. We process and present that data in good faith but make no representation or warranty as to its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Some figures are medians or suppressed for privacy. Always confirm tuition, deadlines, programs offered, and financial aid directly with the institution.
3. No affiliation or endorsement
UniScorecard is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, the College Scorecard program, or any of the institutions listed on the Site. Institution names, logos (if any), and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used only for identification.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any unlawful manner or for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise the security of, or scrape the Site at a rate that disrupts service for other users;
- Use the Site, its data, or its content to harass, defame, or mislead any institution or person;
- Republish substantial portions of the Site's content as your own without attribution.
5. Intellectual property
The underlying College Scorecard data is U.S. Government work and is generally in the public domain. The design, layout, written commentary, code, and presentation of the Site are © UniScorecard and may not be copied or redistributed without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
6. Third-party links
The Site contains links to external websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites and provide the links for convenience only.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniScorecard, its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost tuition, missed deadlines, denied admissions, or financial loss — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any information on it. Your sole remedy is to stop using the Site.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UniScorecard and its operators from any claim arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which UniScorecard is operated, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
